The planning and development of the villages is one of the most important areas of regional studies. The regional strategies are based on defining the roles of urban communities to work in an integrated and dynamic development with automatic payment, without a burden on cities through internal migration.
The department gave priority to these studies and prepared planning studies for the village of Al-Awas in the Governorate of Zamad in Jazan region to serve as an example for the development of the rest of the villages in the region. Population, employment, sectors of economic development, distribution of services, infrastructure and public utilities, policies and operational mechanisms required, and a road network and expropriation plan.
